By way of example, for five years VSM served as the entire marketing department for a community bank, then continued the relationship for another five years after it merged with a larger regional player, supplementing the combined company's small in-house team. When that bank was later absorbed by an even larger regional player, VSM stayed on for two more years as part of the transition. That 12-year run across two mergers is not an outlier for VSM.
